1880 - At Bank Street Grounds, the Reds lose to Cleveland by a score of 7-3 after making eleven errors and missing six balls.

1882 - The pennant winning Reds close out their season at Bank Street Grounds with a 1-0 win over Louisville. Cincinnati would finish the season with a winning percentage of .688. This would be the highest winning percentage of any Reds club in its history. The 1919 club is ranked second at .686.

1894 - The Reds lose to the Giants by a score of 9-8 at League Park. Tom Parrott, who normally pitches, was playing second base and provided the home team with some thrills when he hit for the cycle.

1930 - At Wrigley Field, the Reds rack up nine runs in the 2nd inning but blow their season finale by a score of 13-11.

1939 - At Crosley Field Cincinnati clinches their first pennant since 1919 with a 5-3 victory over the Cardinals. Paul Derringer nabs his 25th win and drives in the go-ahead run in the 6th inning with a single.

1957 - In Milwaukee, Johnny Klippstein of the Reds nearly throws a no-hitter but is stopped in the 9th inning when Braves Bob Hazle getting a 2-out hit. Reds win by a score of 6-0.

1969 - Reds reliever Wayne Granger sets a major league record with his 89th appearance in a 4-1 win over Houston.

1975 - The Reds extend their winning streak to five with a 7-6 win over the Braves. The game would be the final of the season and would give the Reds their 108th victory. The most wins in franchise history.

1979 - At Riverfront Stadium Cincinnati defeats the Braves, 3-0. The victory would clinch the National League West title. It would be the Reds sixth division title in ten seasons.

1985 - Tom Browning becomes the first rookie since 1954 to win 20 games when he guides the Reds to a 5-2 win over Houston. He is the first Reds pitcher to win 20 since Jim Merritt in 1970.

2000 - In the last game at Milwaukee's County Stadium‚ the Reds defeat the Brewers‚ 8-1, behind Elmer Dessens 2-hitter.

2010 - The Reds clinch their first division title since 1995. The game was won with a dramatic walkoff home run by right fielder Jay Bruce who teed-off of Houston Astros left-handed pitcher Tim Byrdak. Final score was 3-2.

2012 - At PNC Park, the Reds defeat the Pirates by a score of 1-0 behind the no-hitting pitching performance of Homer Bailey. Bailey allowed only two baserunners on an error and a walk. The no-no would be the Reds 15th in franchise history. The Buckos loss would be their 81st on the year, insuring their 20th straight season without a winning record.
