Grays play a benefit match for the sufferers of
a yellow fever epidemic that ravaged southern
states. 1,000 fans came to support the cause,
raising $600 dollars. Reds win 9-7. |

At the Polo Grounds, the Reds get whipped by the
Giants, 11-4. New York's shortstop, Willy
Fuller, sets a major league record with 11
putouts in a 9-inning game. |

Mathewson and his Giants top the Reds, 3-1. It
would be Matty's 28th win of the season. Noodles
Hahn gets the loss for Cincinnati. |

1941 - The Reds get beat by the
Cardinals in both games of a double header. The
Redbirds' Lon Warneke twirls a no-hitter in the
second game. |

1966 - At Crosley Field Pete
Rose hits two home runs and helps lead the Reds
to a 6-4 victory over the the Cardinals.
Switch-hitting Rose hits a home run from both
sides of the plate, making him the 12th player
in the majors to do so. |

washed out for the first time in Riverfront
Stadium history. |

1992 - On Nostalgia Night at
Shea Stadium the Reds Rob Dibble blows a 3-1
lead in the ninth. Dibble walked two batters and
gave up a three-run shot to Bobby Bonilla,
ending the game. Both clubs wore 1962 style
jerseys for the game. |
