1901 - At League Park the Reds defeat Chicago by a score of 5-4 in 14 innings. Noodles Hahn gets the win and strikes out eleven Colts.

1919 - The Reds sweep and shutout the Braves in a double header. The first game pitcher Bob Fisher gets the shutout with a 5-0 victory and Dolf Luque hurls the 2-0 shutout in the closing game.

1921 - The Reds sweep the Giants in a double header, taking the first game by a score of 8-7 in 12 innings and the second game in 11 innings by a score of 4-3

1934 - The Reds and Pirates split a double header at Crosley Field. Cincinnati takes game one with a final score of 6-4. Ernie Lombardi clubs a grand slam in game two but Cincinnati fails to win the second game, losing in extra innings, 7-5.

1935 - The Reds defeat the Cardinals in ten innings by a score of 4-3. The game was a night game and the Reds over sold tickets. 30,000 fans were shoehorned into Crosley Field with 5,000 ringed around the field held back by ropes. Fans in the lower box seats had to stand in order to see the game.

1955 - At Crosley Field the Redlegs sweep the Pirates 6-5 and 7-4. Johnny Temple led the way with seven hits.

1957 - In Cincinnati the Redlegs defeat the Phillies in eleven innings with a pinch hit single by pitcher Joe Nuxhall. Final score, 6-5.

1973 - The Reds take both games from the Braves, winning 9-5 and 13-11. Joe Morgan clubs three homeruns and seven RBI's one the day.

1975 - The Reds hammer the Giants by a score of 11-6 at Riverfront Stadium. Giants pitcher John Montefusco gives up seven runs in 1 1/3 innings before he is yanked for Mike Caldwell.

1976 - At Riverfront Stadium, the Big Red Machine rolls over the Astros, 12-1. Reds' backup player Ed Armbrister collects four hits including two homeruns.

1978 - The Reds defeat the Braves, 3-2. During the game Pete Rose extends his hitting streak to forty four which tied the National League record that was set by Willie Keeler during the 1890's.

1995 - The Reds send C.J. Nitkowski & Dave Tuttle to Detroit for pitcher David Wells.

1997 - The Reds send pitcher John Smiley and infielder Jeff Branson to the Indians for pitchers Scott Winchester, Danny Graves, Mike Crowell and infielder Damien Jackson.

1999 - The send pitchers B.J. Ryan and Jacobo Sequea to the Orioles for pitcher Juan Guzman.
