extra innings. Barnes, Dickerson and Deacon
White all have round-trippers in the game and

1896 - In Cincinnati, the first
place Reds are hammered by the Orioles by a
score of 14-6. The Orioles had their way with
Cincinnati, scoring nine runs in 7th inning. |

1910 - At League Park, the Reds
continue to lose to the Giants' Christy
Mathewson, dropping an extra innings match by a
score of 6-4. It would be Mathewson's fifteenth
straight victory over the Reds. |

defeat the Braves at Redland Field. Boston
scored four runs in the 1st inning off of
pitcher Jimmy Ring. Ring is pulled and replaced
by Mike Regan and after the switch is was smooth
sailing for the Reds as they coast to a 6-4 win. |

1954 - At Crosley Field, the
Reds defeat the Giants by a score of 1-0 in
extra innings. Hobie Landrith hits a game
winning homerun for Cincinnati. Pitcher Harry
Perkowski hurls a complete game, surrendering
only three hits in the 12 inning marathon. |

1963 - In Cincinnati, the Reds
defeat the Giants, 5-2. All runs were driven in
by Tommy Harper who had two homeruns and a
single for Cincinnati. |

1969 - In Cincinnati, the Reds
defeat the Astros by a score of 10-9 in extra
innings. Cincinnati, down by nine runs in
entering the 6th, rallies when Cincinnati scores
in the 6th, 7th and 8th innings. In the 8th the
Reds score six runs to tie it up. Ted Savage
drives in the winning run off of future Red Jack
Billingham. |

1978 - At Veteran Stadium, Pete
Rose keeps his hitting streak alive by hustling
to first base with a 9th inning bunt. His streak
looked as if it was over when he failed to get a
hit in the 8th inning but Cincinnati scored four
runs to give Rose another chance in the final
inning. |

1979 - In St. Louis, the Reds
destroy the Cardinals by a score of 16-4. Ray
Knight drives in six runs in the winning effort. |

2012 - After being down by six
runs, the Reds rally at Great American Ball Park
to defeat the Diamondbacks by a score of 7-6.
Cincinnati scored three runs in the 6th and four
more in the 7th to take the lead. Brandon
Phillips racked up five RBI's to help power the
comeback. |
