Christy Mathewson, gets the loss. |

defeat Brooklyn by a score of 1-0. Cincinnati's
starting pitcher, Jack Sutthoff throws a two
hitter and drives in the only run with a
sacrifice fly in the 7th inning. |

hammer Brooklyn by a score of 11-2. In
attendance was President Roosevelt's daughter,
Alice, who watched the game from Box 32 in the
grandstand which was known as the Palace of the
Fans. |

Giants at the Polo Grounds by a score of 5-4.
Cincinnati's centerfielder Edd Roush falls
asleep while in the outfield during a long
argument in the infield. His teammate, Heinie
Groh had to wake up him but Roush was ejected
non-the-less for delay of game. |

Brooklyn's reliever, Carl Doyle, gives up
sixteen hits and fourteen runs in the 4th
inning. Cincinnati's Harry Craft hits for the
cycle, while Frank McCormick scores five runs. |

Milwaukee hitting four consecutive homeruns in
the 7th inning. Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Joe
Adcock and Frank Thomas do the deed, setting a
major league record. |
