led off the game by hitting a drive past
Boston's Hawed in centerfield for a home run. |

Cincinnati's John Clapp hit a triple in the
ninth
inning to drive in the winning run. Will White
pitched a one-hitter, losing his no-no in the

by a score of 12-4. Frank Fennelly scored five

Following a three hour rain delay at Great
American Ball Park, Cincinnati downs the
Nationals 9-6. Joey Votto hit three home runs,
one being a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of
the ninth. It's the only time a player in major
league history had three homers, capped off with
a game winning grand slam. |
