1886 - Wanting some luck for the season, the Reds announce that they will fly the league pennant they won in 1882 at their ballpark. However, the ploy fails them over the course of the season. The club finished the year with a record of 65-73. The only losing season they would suffer during the 1880's.

1993 - The Reds send pitcher Chris Hammond to the Marlins for third baseman Gary Scott and a player to be named later.

2003 - Will McEnaney's 1976 World Series ring is sold on E-Bay for $6500. It is believed that it is the first non-replica ring of this kind sold by the auction house.

1998 - Before a home crowd of 8,496, Cincinnati defeats Houston in a shootout, 3-2. Don Biggs scored the winning goal and in doing so became the Cyclones' all-time scorer.

Cincinnati Mighty Ducks

1999 - In Albany, the Mighty Ducks defeat the River Rats, 3-2. Mike Leclerc scored the go-ahead goal with 3:53 left in the final period. Tom Askey stopped 45 shots for his club.

2011 - In Toledo's Huntington Center the Cyclones nip the Walleye, 4-3. Rookie forward Cory Conacher, who had four points in his ECHL debut, scored the game winner at 16:31 of the third period.
