Why did you
stop releasing music ? |
|
|
Simply ran
out of money. We were running on
such limited funds it is a
miracle that the label lasted as
long as it did. |

Will Deary
Me ever release any new music ? |
|
|
Nope. The
label had a good run. It's best
to let it rest in peace. |

|
Are any of
your releases available to
purchase ? |
|
|
Not through
us. You can still find some of
our titles on Amazon or E-Bay. |
|
|
|
|
|
Why do you
not have songs from your
releases available to listen to
or buy. |
|
|
We do not
own the rights to the music. So
without the band's consent, we
do not offer any of it. Best
thing to do is try and locate
former members of the bands. Ask
them how you can obtain their
music. |

Your website
says that the label existed from
1995 to 2003 but you have titles
under your catalog that are
dated before and after that
time. Why is that ? |

|
The Mourning
and the Screaming Mimes were
bands that Jim, who was one of
Deary Me's cofounders, played
in. The Mimes albums were
released in the Deary Me catalog
but the label was for all
intents and purposes defunct in
2005 and '07. The Mourning
predated Deary Me but there were
plans to rerelease the title on
the label. However, it never
happened. |
