1880 - At Bank Street Grounds the Reds lose their 53rd game of the season, dropping one to Chicago, 5-2. The White Stockings victory would give them National League pennant with a record of 59-13.
 
CINCINNATI REDS III
 
1887 - The Reds play two games in one day. A morning game in Staten Island, New York against the Mets and an afternoon game in Brooklyn. Tony Mullane shuts out the Mets by a score of 4-0 and then go on to defeat Brooklyn, 11-1.
