CINCINNATI REDS II

1877 - The first left handed pitcher in the National League twirls the Reds to a 1-0 victory over Louisville. Lip Pike hits a homerun over the right field fence at Avenue Grounds to tip the Reds to victory. However, it was rumored that Louisville's Jim Devlin and teammate George Hall were paid $25 each to throw the game.
