1890 - Long John Reilly hits for the cycle and helps lead his club to a 16-3 victory over Pittsburgh. It would be the third of his career, all done in a Reds uniform. This cycle record would later be equaled by Bob Meusel and Babe Herman.
 
1892 - Reds manager Charles Comiskey reaches a temporary salary compromise with pitching star Tony Mullane. Upon his return Mullane gets touched up by Chicago, 6-1.
 
1896 - Reds pitcher Frank Dwyer nabs his 13th consecutive win with a 4-2 victory over Pittsburgh.
