1894 - At League Park, the Reds extend their winning streak to eight games, defeating Chicago by a score of 19-13. Cincinnati was down 15-13 heading into the 8th inning but the Reds rally, scoring eight runs to take the lead. Farmer Vaugh scored five runs and had two homers in the match.

1896 - In Cincinnati, the Reds defeat Cleveland by a score of 9-8. With the score tied 8-8 in the 9th inning, Cleveland's player-manager Patsy Tebeau comes in to pitch the final inning. With runners in scoring position he gives up the game winning run to Cincinnati's Germany Smith.
